I’ve reviewed a couple of the classic pairs of this model before. These New Balance 574 Sport Suede in Olive definitely improve upon those pairs.
Basically, the “sport” 574 is a modernized version with some upgrades and improvements. These came standard with the rope laces seen here.
These are definitely a fall color so wearing them with khaki or other similar tones can be a good look in autumn. The rest of the year, dark denim and a dark top work well and allow the orange hits on the shoe to pop.
I highly recommend this shoe. It’s pretty much perfect in every way. From the fit, to the shape, to the materials and comfort, these are on point and if you’re a fan of NB, definitely look for a colorway to add to the collection today!
How Are The Materials?
The “suede” designation for certain pairs of 574 sport really says it all. We get nearly Made-In-USA suede for a fraction of the cost. The quality on these is surprisingly outstanding! You definitely get a great value materials-wise on these with soft, buttery suede.
How Do They Fit?
New Balance 574 Sport Suede fit a little big but also can work at true size. They are so very comfortable! The changes on the shoe including the sock-bootie type tongue and higher cut help with looks and fit, while the upgraded midsole and insole cushioning make these way lighter and more plush than their classic counterparts.
