I got these Asics Gel Lyte V Tandori Spice on a super sale, and they are definitely worth it at less than retail!
These came out alongside a couple other pairs with the toe being a different color than the rest of the shoe. The shoe gets its nickname from the colorway.
These are actually fairly versatile! The pink toe allows you to wear some light colored denim and a light top for spring/summer. Meanwhile, the darker red tone makes these pair with dark pants for a more somber fall look. These are really good kicks to match with whatever season you’re rocking them in thanks to the different shades used on the shoe.
If you are into building up your collection of retro runners, it’s hard to not check for Gel-Lyte V. How Are The Materials?
The materials on these are actually good for a general release. Similar to the taupe pair, the all suede upper is relatively buttery and smooth to the touch. It’s no silver box SB Dunk, but its worth it at the price!
How Do They Fit?
The Asics Gel Lyte V Tandori Spice fits true to size and is very comfortable. These provide a fairly snug fit thanks to the neoprene tongue, so if you need more room in your runners you may want to go a half size up. I personally prefer this type of fit on this type of shoe so I stay true to size, and I think it maximizes the pointy toe runner aesthetic of the GLV nicely.
