Air Jordan 4 Military Review

Updated September 1, 2017 by Anthony

Selling off a lot of my older pairs of Air Jordan 4s means it’s time for some new retros to shine!

The white and light grey upper pair well with either dark or light denim, and the blue hits are perfect for matching up some blue in an outfit. In this case, as long as you can match the right shade, there’s little enough blue on the shoe that adding in more blue won’t look too overboard. Tapered khakis also look good with these. I would stick with a light colored top when rocking. These look great in a good outfit, which is one of the main benefits of the shoe.

Retros of the Air Jordan 4 typically include white laces and an orange hangtag, but some versions do not include the hangtag.

These are a slept on colorway every release, which is surprising since the shoe is a rerelease of an OG colorway. Although the materials aren’t on point and the fit is a little odd, the simple fact is this colorway is too classic for a Jordan collector to not own. Military 4s always wind up being insta-beaters for me and I highly recommend keeping at least one retro of these in the Jordan stacks for their classic colorway and easy wearability.

How Are The Materials?

The materials are usually pretty trash on Air Jordan 4 Military Blue retros. The leather is thin and flimsy and the suede is nothing special. At least Jordan Brand generally uses a matte leather on these as opposed to the super fake-looking glossy leather.

How Do They Fit?

The Air Jordan 4 Military fit snug when going true to size. A half size up can help if the sneaker feels narrow at true to size.

I’ve already mentioned my lack of love for the way 4s fit my feet. That said, these are passably comfortable. I’m not blown away by how nice they feel on foot, rather I can wear them for short periods of time without feeling uncomfortable. Long walks in these are out though.
