Nike kills it on wheat dunks! These Nike Dunk Low SB Reverse Wheat have a colorway based on the Wheat Forbes and Wheat Highs.
Nike has been, in my opinion, lacking on quality for a while now, but this pair is a very positive step in the right direction!
Wheat kicks look great with any color denim (except khaki) and a grey top. You can add bits of red/black flannel to your outfit and it will help accentuate the “Timberland Boot” look. Today I chose some medium wash denim and a grey Supreme longsleeve. These shoes are a more “yellow” shade of wheat and will stand out well against almost any non-beige pants.
Nike SB is stepping their material and inspiration game up. They’ve come up with a shoe that evokes a classic time for SB, while flipping the colors enough to make it new! I’ve not been checking for SB’s for a while so this is an exciting return to the dunk game for me. I’ll be keeping my eyes open for similar pairs releasing! These are a safe bet for any fan of classic SB dunks.
How Are The Materials?
This shoe is all soft suede. The materials are quite good on this pair! While they don’t exactly match the lushness of the Wheat Forbes low, they still beat out any new SB by a mile. If suede SB’s are your thing and that’s why you’ve been avoiding SB lately, definitely take a look at these!
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Dunk Low SB Reverse Wheat fit true to size. Compared with the older SB’s that these are based off of, these are skinnier and longer with a less puffy tongue and a different configuration on the bottom two eyelets. All these combine to make the shoes stiffer and slightly less comfy than the earlier wheat SB’s. That said, these are still fairly comfortable and totally rockable.
