The Converse One Star Pro x thisisneverthat is a collaboration with the Korean streetwear brand thisisneverthat, founded in Seoul in 2010, and taps into a “New Vintage” aesthetic that reinterprets 90s street style and vintage skate culture through a worn-in, nostalgic lens.
The Converse One Star originally released in 1974 as a low-cut suede basketball shoe, before being reworked in the 2000s into the One Star Pro with added tech for skate performance. This collab layers on thoughtful details like cobranded insoles and tongue tags, labels on the rear of the midsole, cracked leather stars, vintage stitching, aged midsoles, and classic toe bumpers that all reinforce that authentic, broken-in skate vibe.
I haven’t had a pair of CONS in the collection for a while, but $75 shipped for a collab in this clean green and white colorway made this an easy pickup. The colors are super wearable and flexible in rotation, while still offering enough character to feel special and not just like a GR.
These come in a white cobranded box and include flat white laces and spare green laces with cobranded aglets
Materials
We get a premium suede toe box, canvas throughout the rest of the upper, and a cracked leather star on the side. The materials really support the intentional vintage look without feeling cheap, and for a shoe with a $90 retail price, these feel like they punch well above their weight.
Fit & Comfort
True to size overall. Not an all-day sneaker, but definitely comfortable enough for casual wear. The added padding of the One Star Pro is noticeable and appreciated, especially compared to the thinner feel of traditional Converse models.
If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
