The Nike SB Blazer Mid GT x Antihero continues Nike SB’s long-running relationship with the legendary skate brand and released as part of the same capsule as the Antihero SB Dunk Highs I covered previously. This pair leans into Antihero’s raw, unapologetic energy while keeping the Blazer’s simple, timeless profile intact.
Originally born as the Nike Blazer basketball shoe in 1973, the Blazer was reworked for skateboarding in 2005 and has since become a staple in the SB lineup. This GT (Grant Taylor) version adds subtle but meaningful Antihero touches, including branded detailing on the right heel and a clear outsole that reveals a zoomed-in view of Grant’s well-worn Antihero “Eagle” deck graphic underneath. It’s a clean execution that rewards a closer look without straying too far from the Blazer’s classic roots.
It had been a while since I picked up a pair of SB Blazers, but this colorway pulled me right back in. The all-suede upper paired with the green and yellow combo instantly stood out, and I’ve always been a fan of Antihero collaborations. Completing the set was an easy decision – especially when I found these for just $77 shipped from DLX.
The shoes come in the standard purple Nike SB box and are laced with green rope laces. They also include two extra sets of flat laces in yellow and white for alternate looks.
Materials
The upper is constructed from suede with leather heel tabs. While it’s not ultra-buttery, the suede feels solid and appropriate for a Nike SB collaboration at this price point. Overall build quality is good, and it definitely feels like a fair value—especially at a discount.
Fit & Comfort
These fit true to size. Blazers tend to have a basic level of 70s retro-style comfort, and the SB version improves things slightly with added padding and Zoom Air for better step-in feel. They’re comfortable enough for a few hours of casual wear, though all-day use might push it a bit. My only real gripe is the usual Blazer annoyance – lots of lace holes make them a little more work to get on and off – but that’s a small tradeoff on an otherwise classic silhouette.
If these are sold out at different stores online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
