Today I’m sporting another pair of Ultra Moires: the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Moire Grey.
This is basically the exact same thing as the other pair of Moires I reviewed, but with different shades of grey rather than white and red. I think these are great shoes if you are into runners but want something a tad more modern, yet off the beaten path.
These feature synthetic and 3M uppers. I can’t really judge their quality in the same way I would a pair of suede and leather kicks, but the materials seem durable, and the shoe’s construction seems solid.
Rather than go full marshmallow-sole, ninja-toe modern, these opt for a slightly bulkier and roomier silhouette. I, for one, appreciate this, since the materials they are using don’t seem like they would work well if the toebox was too snug. That said, I recommend going true to size on these.
The feel underfoot is a bit more like a classic pair of Air Max 1s; not uncomfortable, but on the stiff/solid side.
