This particular shoe is part of a “We Love Nike” pack that includes some 95s and 90s as well. Not to be confused with the Just Do It pack, these Nike Air Max 1 We Love Nike feature a shoebox print on the upper and insole instead of an Orange/White/Black JDI makeup.
The colorway on these is based on the OG blue/white/grey colorway. These are also technically an Atmos collab!
Like any white & blue shoe, khakis or black pants/denim work well for an easy fit. Also, grey pants may work as well. Joggers and techwear are fine, but these look great with just some jeans and a hoodie or t-shirt.
At first I was going to pass on these to be honest. Not that I wasn’t feeling them, I just didn’t feel like I NEEDED them in the collection. However, these are so slept on for a collab, that once they hit super discounted rates, I had to cop! I’m glad I did as these are quite a dope shoe in hand!
How Are The Materials?
Some may complain here, but the all-leather upper in my opinion is of good quality. I wasn’t expecting hand made Italian leathers or even a premium build (this shoe is not marked as premium on the box). That said, my pair is soft and the texture seems natural rather than fake “pebbled” leather. Overall I think if you have realistic expectations on a shoe like this, the materials should exceed those in hand.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Air Max 1 We Love Nike fit slightly snug at true to size and are quite comfortable. If you’ve ever had some all-leather Air Max 1s, you know what to expect already here. I also did a reshape on these as they came with somewhat of a snub toe right out of the box. My guess is that is due to the all leather toebox.
