I tried to reshape and redye my 2012 retro of this colorway, only to mess them up!. These 2019 Air Jordan 4 Bred allow me to once again have them in my collection, this time with Nike Air on the back!
As far as what to wear with these, black and red are some of the easiest colorways to create outfits with on a shoe. Basically, any color of pants will look good with these except maybe brown.
Grey and black tops work well with these but a red top can work was well. If you’re stuck, an easy and quick fit is some dark blue or black denim and a black top.z
I was always going to cop this shoe. It’s a no-brainer for sneaker collectors that like Jordans. While some have complained about the Nike on the back being off-center, overall it’s a must have shoe and I’m glad I got another chance to own a pair!
How Are The Materials?
The material quality is not good on these. While the nubuck upper is more true to the OG release of this shoe, the texture is like sandpaper.
I’m sure Jordan Brand knows as well as we do that this shoe is about nostalgia and aesthetic moreso than materials. If you’re buying this shoe, do not expect a premium feel to these. The sneakers include black laces and a large plastic hangtag.
How Do The Air Jordan 4 Black Cement Fit?
This 2019 retro fits extremely snug at true to size. Many find going up a half size to be the most comfortable option for the AJ4.
I’ve always had issues with the Air Jordan 4 fit. For reference, I’m a true 9.5, but in most AJ4s I do a 10. Fours tend to hit my pinky and big toe in weird ways when I go true to my Nike size.
This time around, I grabbed a 10, and these are so much more comfortable at the half size up than at true size! Basically the painful areas of contact I used to have are met with a bit more room now. These do feel like they fit slightly big, however I’ll take comfort over pain any day.
