I’ve collected a good amount of Sk8 His. I copped these Vans Sk8-Hi Buttersoft Turchese because the materials and colorway looked really nice online.
These came out in three colorways (the other two are pink and yellow) and also on the Era model. These are super light and they go really well with other light clothes. As summer is going to be over soon, I have to make sure these get in rotation with some light denim and a white longsleeve tee before they go in the stacks for another year.
The point of these is the buttery soft pigskin suede upper. It really delivers, I’ve never felt a pair of Sk8-Hi’s like this before. The leather on the Vans stripe and on the ankle liner ain’t bad either! I can’t even describe how nice they are, you need to feel a pair in hand yourself. If you get a chance to cop a pair of these, and nice materials are your thing, I say do it! Be careful though, the blue suede dye can rub off on the white laces so once you have them laced up, try not to relace them.
How Do They Fit?
These Vans Sk8-Hi Buttersoft Turchese fit true to size. They are really comfortable – there’s not a whole lot I can say about the fit that I haven’t said in previous Vans reviews, but these basically fit like any other Sk8 Hi.
I’m already a big fan of Sk8-His, so I damn near impulse bought these and I’m definitely not disappointed! The prime difference here from your average pair of these is of course the super nice materials and colorway! Vans are definitely a go-to shoe for when I need to scratch the itch to buy some without breaking the bank!
