Saucony Courageous Grey Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

The Saucony Courageous originally dropped in the mid-80s and finally made a comeback in 2015 with a set of premium suede pairs including the Saucony Courageous Grey.

I’m a big fan of runners coming back even better than before, so when these came back with the new materials, I viewed it as a chance to cop. The kind of “snubnose” shape actually gives these a unique appeal in my book.

Two words: buttery suede. I can’t believe these went on sale for as cheap as they did, as the materials are really top notch. The quality on this pair has me looking around and bookmarking pairs to make sure I grab the other 3 colorways that dropped. There’s not much else that can be said for these other than that they are genuinely a slept on premium quality release.

The typical EVA midsole give the Saucony Courageous Grey a basic yet very comfortable feel. For casual wear, it’s tough to go wrong with a shoe like this, and the short-looking toebox takes on a different life when actually on foot. I can’t recommend these enough for both comfort and quality!
