Nike Roshe One Gym Red Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

The Nike Roshe One Gym Red is a standard pair of Roshes. Nothing too fancy (i.e. the Roshe NM), and no breezy BR construction to the mesh. Just a regular no-frills Roshe One with a nice Gym Red tone to the upper.

I’m a huge Roshe fan although nowadays people tend to hate on the simplistic casual shoe. I can’t count how many times I saw “Roshes are trash” around on sneaker sites and forums when those existed.

Still, it’s tough for me to dislike a shoe that is simple, comfortable and looks great on foot. I’ll probably continue to add these to the box-stacks seeing as they make tons of great colorways all the time!

The materials here are super simple, just some basic mesh holding the upper together.

These of course fit true to size so order whatever size you normally would in Roshes if you’re trying to cop. They will definitely be comfortable, but will look weird if you get the sizing wrong.

The outsole could be a bit more spongy to compete with tech like Boost, but lets face it, this sneaker was out just a tad too early. It’s popularity got swept up in the Boost wave!
