Nike KD VII Flight Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

The Nike KD VII Flight came out alongside a pair of Lebrons and Kobes along with some clothing as part of a “Flight Pack”. Nike’s website claims that the red and grey colorway is based off of Kevin Durant’s ability to control a game.

While not the most obvious connection to an inspiration, this colorway of the Nike KD VII is still a dope looking shoe. To me the, the color combination is interesting. The swoosh just pops off the mesh up front, while the graphics help the posite stand out. Then we have the special graphic on the tongue tag along with greenish grey laces with red contrast stitching to finish the unique look of the shoe. Some call these the KDVII “Thunderbolt”.

As far as materials go, these are about on point with other KVII that I’ve reviewed. Sturdy and good for what type of shoe this is.

These fit a tad snug but are otherwise fairly comfortable for casual wear. If I could go back and re-buy these, I might consider a half size up if I wasn’t going to use them for playing basketball.
