Nike Dunk Low SB Gulf Of Mexico Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

The Nike Dunk Low SB Gulf Of Mexico isn’t a quickstrike, but it is a collaboration with Plus Skateshop. The colorway is supposed to represent a view of the Gulf of Mexico with light sandy beaches, pale blue water and a clear horizon line (shown on the midsole)

There’s nothing to indicate that Plus Skateshop had anything to do with these (no graphics or logos or anything like that).

The uppers are all suede except the leather swoosh and backtab with the two-tone midsole and gum outsole to finish them off. As far as quality goes, the suede and leather used is fairly basic. Don’t expect anything lush here, but the quality is still passable.

With respect to comfort, these are fairly average for a relatively modern Nike SB. If you find SB Dunks to be snug, you wouldn’t be the only one. In this case, going up a half size from your normal true size can be helpful.

They came with white and grey laces, but besides that no extras.
