Nike Dunk Low SB Goretex Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

Nike and toy company Medicom have had a long series of collaborative kicks, including 5 dunk SB’s! The Nike Dunk Low SB Goretex is the last pair to release initially at Medicom’s Babekub City store.

The shoe has a special upper designed to resist the elements, except for the oddly placed suede in the back and of course the mesh tongue. The shoe is all grey except for the Goretex tag near the ankle collar.

I can’t lie, the materials are really nice but really confusing on these. Unlike other Medicom SB’s, these are supposed to be rainproof. However, there is the high quality suede on the back, which can get ruined easily in rain, and the mesh tongue, which isn’t waterproof at all! So although the shoe might not be the most practical, at least feet can stay dry around the toe area and the materials are still top notch in quality.

I found these to fit stiff and a bit snug at a half size up. The Nike Dunk Low SB Goretex isn’t uncomfortable by any stretch, they’re just really sturdy and rugged thanks to the reinforced leather on the upper.
