Nike Dunk Low SB Bandaid Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

Simply put, the Nike Dunk Low SB Bandaid gets its name from the perforated side panel and color scheme combo that is reminiscent of a band aid.

There are even rumors that Gino Ianucci had something to do with these dunks due to those perforations, but other sources site the shoe’s designer as Dobbs.

Dark or medium wash denim with a grey or red top really makes a dope fit with these. The different grey allow you to pull off multiple blue/grey/black/white tonal looks. A skinny jean stacked up on top of the shoe is a classic look on an SB.

These shoes are really nice looking and I feel like the red hits on the tongue tag and heel really bring up the shoe. Of course, red laces really adds lot of pop to these. The included dark grey laces have the opposite effect and tone down the shoe. Regardless what laces are used, the materials and shape are definitely those of the pink box days and are of great quality compared to newer releases.

How Are The Materials?

The shoes sport a dope suede and leather upper and hail from the pink box era of dunks. Texturing on the suede is short haired and buttery smooth.

Meanwhile, the leather has lasted many wears with minimal creasing. Overall the pink box days are for the most part the last time we see dunks with the level of quality that made the SB famous.

How Do They Fit?

These are really comfortable. I typically recommend going true to size. These older more cushy dunks tend to be less stiff, allowing the pinky to not be murdered.
