Nike Dunk Low SB 112 Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector. Updated: 09-27-2016

DJ Clark Kent devised the pack that this shoe is based on back in 2008. This includes some AF1s, AM1s and Air Trainers. The Nike Dunk Low SB 112 keeps the pack going with the same colorway and some nice details.

Black, volt and elephant print are the three components that make a 112 shoe. These SB’s adhere to that theme and also feature a 112 graphic on the insole of the right shoe.

I am stoked to have a 112 colorway in my collection. I like the combination of colors and prints but don’t necessarily want them on an Air Force 1 or some Trainers. Nike SB really comes through on this pair to make sure anyone can attain that 112 look!

I recommend these kicks to fans of the 112 colorway that want a newer, more attainable shoe.

How Are The Materials?

The materials on these are actually decent! The shoes are labeled as a premium release and while I’m not sure the quality is premium level, it is very good for some easy-to-find SB’s. 3M covers most of the shoe which can crease and chip. The 3M quality seems good though, nice and durable. The elephant print is the typical suede/nubuck and the swoosh is a decent quality suede. One standout feature is the suede tongue, which you don’t see on too many SB’s.

How Do They Fit?

The Nike Dunk Low SB 112 fit true to size and are somewhat comfortable. Like many recent SB’s, the shoes are a tad stiff. I didn’t get pinky toe rub on these though which is more than I can say for other recent releases.
