Nike Dunk High SB Tweed Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

When it comes to classic silver box dunks, you’d be hard pressed to find a better quality SB. One of the more inventive kicks to come out of that era is the Nike Dunk High SB Tweed, which is a colorway that also released in a lowtop.

These get their name from the tweed print/pattern found on the shoe. They definitely have the “academic” vibe thanks to the pattern and brown/tan colorway. You could theoretically dress these up if you wanted, but colorwise I like to opt for army green or khaki pants. Dark blue denim also works here. Pair that with white, grey or even red top and you have a great outfit. Navy could even factor in as well.

I used to have the lows and the highs but wound up just keeping these. If you are looking to grab an older SB with tons of class and an interesting inspiration and material composition, you could definitely use these!

How Are The Materials?

The tweed print is basically wool and the rest is a thick suede. The wool definitely has that tweed jacket vibe and the suede, while not super buttery, is still soft and of great quality. As usual, silver box dunks do not disappoint. This shoe is one of those trend-setting kicks in terms of interesting materials on an SB.

How Is The Fit?

The Nike Dunk High SB Tweed overall fits true to size and is extremely comfortable. The wool toebox is flexible enough that I could probably go a half size down and still be ok. Older SB’s like these truly exude comfort and kicks like this are very warm for winter!
