One of the first sneaker videos I ever did on YouTube that got a lot of views was the bright crimson colorway of this model. The Nike Air Max 2015 Volt Hyper Jade are the only other colorway of these I own.
I think I actually chose this colorway based on sale price combined with having a Finishline Winner’s Circle coupon on deck. I love the shoe but even on sale, they are expensive! Otherwise I would definitely have more pairs.
Every year the Air Max line delivers a new flagship model. For me, many of the newer releases are hit or miss, but the 2015 just looks cool! The side kind of reminds me of the side stitching on some Footscapes and the backward swoosh definitely helps these stand out.
How Are The Materials?
I don’t have anything negative to say about the materials. There is no suede or leather to critique. The upper is a multilayered mesh (reminds me of engineered mesh) with some flywire-looking pieces on the side that loop around to form the eyelets. The overall construction on the shoe seems well put together. The toebox can look a little stretched out after wearing them a few times; this is a common annoyance with all-mesh toeboxes.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Air Max 2015 Volt Hyper Jade fit true to size and are extremely supportive. I find them comfortable. Air Max sneakers tend to offer more “solid” support as opposed to more cushy or bouncy shoes with Lunar or Boost. In this case, you get a good balance of solid support and breathable uppers. If you like the feel of a 360 air unit but also want a really flexible, adaptable and comfortable shoe, I recommend these.
