Nike always has a slew of kicks for the NBA All-Star season, and with good reason. This time of year roughly correlates with tax season, so sneakerheads flush with tax refunds are ready to cop some new kicks!

This pair released in 2011 during this time alongside a few other AF1s and other models. The particular all star game took place in Los Angeles, so many of the shoes were themed after different areas in the county.

We get details such as the metallic gold accents and fancy designs on the rear of the shoe, tongue tag, lacetips and insole. Once you strip away all the gold, you’re left with a nice pair of leather white on white AF1s.

I still believe in the AF1 – it’s a true classic that will never die out completely! This pair fits a little big like other recent AF1 releases, so a half size down might be a good idea.
