The New Balance 999 Wooly Mammoth in grey released alongside a blue and black pair. Together, they help form the Wooly Mammoth Collection.

The colorway gets its inspiration from frozen tundra. The materials and overall vibe of course take after the shaggy prehistoric creatures themselves. And yes, I would consider these another slept on release!

These are an “elite” pair of 999s, so although they are not a Made in the USA pair, the quality is still premium. We have nice buttery suede, small hits of leather, and wool on the rear of the shoe and on the tongue to tie in the theme. The quality on these is really nice and I have to say that 999s are low key slept on in terms of quality.

These New Balance 999 Wooly Mammoth fit true to size and have a good level of comfort. They have a bit of a boxier look on foot than other pairs of NB that I’ve rocked, but it’s still overall aesthetically pleasing to me. I’m not sure these will actually keep my feet warmer than any other pairs, but I’m feeling them nonetheless!
